I would call myself a big foodie. My best friend and I love going out and trying new restaurants and different foods from different cultures. When reading I learned that so many different crops, foods, and cooking techniques came from Africa. This makes me think, what would American food have been without Africa? Other than bland, I wonder how much different the food would be now without things like deep frying, peanuts, yams, peas, and other things. I think that the colonizers were bound to steal and not create their own culture, so if it wasn't Africa they stole from it would have been someone else.
